In the year of our Lord 1859, Reverend William Holland regretted his new wife, Mildred, answering the call of God to paint the ceiling of His house, and give Him angels in gold, blue. He regretted how, as she lay on her back on the scaffolding, Heaven saw petticoats and pantaloons he did not. Ever less reverend, Reverend William put a tempting apple in a bucket, and hoisted it up.
